Clay

Clay is the primary material for the production of Ceramics. It is extracted from a clod of earth, which must be worked with in order for it to endure the process of refinement and preparation. This prep insures the obtaining of a moldable plastic consistence. There are various types available, and they are used for diverse purposes; from hand-crafting to industrial production.

The different stages of clay preparation time and again, call for the use of suitable machinery. These compress the clay at high pressure giving it a superior cohesion, and simultaneously pressing out the excess water.
In closing of events, the clay is compacted into blocks of 25 kilograms that are hand-crafted. They are then used in the techniques of: coil-built , wheel (throwing) mechanical or manual, pressing machine, extruder , cast built, and mold slip clay.
